Low Day For Me Today
by pale.emperor inhi guys.
it's been about 4 or 5 weeks since i was disfellowshipped.
so far it's been easy, i enjoyed being left alone, no one bothering me, no one telling me i need to do more, need to reach out, questioning why i didnt go on the ministry, and the fact that my ex-wifes family cant talk to me even if they wanted to.

The way that you feel about the organization is not going to change if you return but will fester inside. Right now you are feeling stressed and missing the family feeling you once had but it will never be the same again because you see the organization for what it is. It's obvious you love your daughter but think about her long term welfare do you want her to be a JW and what will you say when she realizes you haven't been upfront with her but allowed her to be indoctrinated by an devious organization. It's tough and can be a little lonely at first but it's worth it.
Here's a famous line "I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately to front only the essential facts of life and see if I could not learn what it had to teach and not when I came to die discover that I had not lived".

The Man Who Hated Paradise
by compound complex inimpressions after lost horizon, by james hilton.
the valley of the blue moon, a verdant and slightly concave sprawling hollow at the foot of the largest snow-capped rock i ever laid eyes on, is not home to me, nor ever shall it be.
had i entered paradise under my own steam -- not kidnapped -- i daresay my impressions of utopia would be immeasurably more favorable.. for a certainty, i long for the hustle, the bustle, the din of my dirty and lusty city by the bay, whose roots sink deep into the ancient mire of human folly and wanton avarice.

Lost Horizon a movie I saw many years ago as a child. I loved it because I had a soft spot in my heart for shangri-la. All my life I have pursued the hope of love and peace for humanity and it caused me to try out many dreams one of which was jehovahs witnesses and always it falls through. The pursuit has been interesting and now I realize that we as humans don't know what we want or where the lines are we don't even know for sure what we are but we are all very different. I think the only society that works is the one that allows us the pursuit of happiness not the finding of someones manufactured dream of a peaceful world. We're all about the pursuit and not the finding. We're at our best when we're on the way following our dreams and making alot of mistakes. It's a bit dangerous but we wouldn't be happy otherwise.

Another Egyptian relic discovered at Hazor, northern Israel
by fulltimestudent init doesn't look significant, but it is - the jerusalem post reports:.
the finding – coupled with a sphinx fragment of the egyptian king mycerinus (who ruled egypt in the 25th century bce), discovered at the site by the research team three years ago – are the only monumental egyptian statues found so far in second millennium contexts in the entire levant.the discovery of these two statues in the same building currently being excavated by the research team indicates the special importance of the building, which was likely the administrative palace of the ruler of the city, as well as that of the entire city of hazor.shlomit bechar, a doctoral student at the institute of archaeology, who has been excavating at hazor for a decade, is the dig’s co-director, and oversees the main excavation area.during the course of nearly 30 years of excavations, fragments of 18 different egyptian statues – both royal and private – dedicated to egyptian kings and officials, including two sphinxes, were discovered at hazor.“most of these statues were found in layers dated to the late bronze age (15th-13th centuries bce), corresponding to the new kingdom in egypt,” said ben-tor.“this is the largest number of egyptian statues found so far in any site in the land of israel, although there is no indication that hazor was one of the egyptian strongholds in southern canaan, nor of the presence of an egyptian official at hazor during the late bronze age.”ben-tor added that most egyptian statues found at hazor date to egypt’s “middle kingdom” (19th-18th centuries bce), a time when hazor did not yet exist.“it thus seems that the statues were sent by an egyptian king in the ‘new kingdom’ as official gifts to the king of hazor, or as dedications to a local temple, regardless of their already being ‘antiques,’” he said.“this is not surprising, considering the special status of the king of hazor, who was the most important king in southern canaan at the time.
the extraordinary importance of hazor in the 15th-13th centuries bce is indicated also by the biblical reference to hazor as ‘the head of all those kingdoms’ (joshua 11:10).”all the statues at the site were found broken into pieces and scattered over a large area, he noted.“clear signs of mutilation indicate that most of them were deliberately and violently smashed, most probably in the course of the city’s final conquest and destruction sometime in the 13th century b.c.e,” said ben-tor.“the deliberate mutilation of statues of kings and dignitaries accompanying the conquest of towns is a well-known practice in ancient times (i samuel 5:1-4; isaiah 11:9), as well as in our time.”the hazor excavations, which began in the mid-1950s under the direction of the late professor yigael yadin, are carried out on behalf of hu.

I'm sorry to hear that but I'm not surprised anymore. My mantra these days is "it is what it is". Mostly you just can't find reasons and you can't control it all you can do is pick up the pieces and move on and say "that was interesting I'll try to be more alert next time".

As humans we have a natural profiling to assess danger inside of us for example if you get on a plane and see about six muslim men sitting quietly what do you think? Mostly they are peaceful but a fair portion has created a situation that breeds fear. If your walking down the street and you see a couple of pit bulls running toward you then your reaction would be different than a couple of pugs. A certain amount of bad apples and fear takes over. There's just been too many young black males with guns and it is reflecting on the group and black lives matter is just stirring up the pot and creating more and more dangerous confrontations. I think it's the responsibility of the adult black community to get control and calm the situation because I don't believe it's racism that's driving this i think it's criminal activity that rearing it's ugly head.

The black lives matter movement is not improving the situation it's whipping people up to a frenzy of hate. I don't like racism but is that what is really happening here? Where I live you hear on the news almost everyday more shootings and sad to say 99% are perpetrated by black males. The next day you see the mother being interviewed and if no police where around she complains where were the police. If her son was the shooter and was shot by police she says he was sick and needed medical help. It's a never ending situation here yesterday a teenager tried to kill his mother and burn the house down then charged the police with a weapon and was shot. I could go on but I don't know the answer but people make it sound like innocent black men are being rounded up and shot. I think there's a real problem and the police are in a difficult situation because when a criminal is resisting and he's a big guy with a weapon or not it's hard to be gentle.
This is just making everybody feel edgy and very sad.
